I just saw this post on here earlier that pissed me off really bad, it also made me realize that there’s an issue on here that’s really prevalent but never really gets talked about despite how many users it affects. There seems to be this idea of users being solely “good” or “bad” and not actual people who fuck up and make irrational judgements from time to time. One situation where someone does something bad does not mean you should examine everything else they’ve ever done under these black-tinted glasses that paint them in a worse light.

To show how prevalent it is, I’ve never really considered myself to be the type to get involved in user arguments and even I’ve gotten sucked into this mentality myself and there’s a few people that I have admittedly have had awful thoughts and have said abhorrent things about despite never really taking the time to look into their perspective.

I’m veery close to reaching my breaking point and I’ll probably make a full blown rant on this if I see one more awful and bad faith take about another person on here.

Also for the love of god if I don’t end up making this a full post THE MOD TEAM IS NOT A SINGLE ENTITY!! One since-demoted moderator unfairly banning someone or taking something down does not mean the entire team has something against you. Decisions can always be reversed and sometimes most of the mod team doesn’t even notice it when something specific gets taken down!!
