When something bad happens to someone we know, a lot of us will panic. We worry for our friends and those who we know. We don't wish for them to be down about themselves or feel upset. We want them to eventually feel happy and comfortable.

With this, it often results in people quickly jumping to conclusions, assuming the worst happened. I know it is very worrying if a friend has spoke about their negative thoughts and then they go offline for a few hours. However, this does not always mean something went wrong.

If someone has been offline for a few hours, they may be taking an unannounced break, may be asleep, or caught up in events. At that time, it's very early to assume, and it's even worse if you quickly assume that something bad happened. Just try to wait it out a bit and hope that they'll return to tell you that they're okay!

And if they're gone for even months/weeks without announcing, it's best to hope they're doing alright. They may even return soon :)
