Hello there!
I want you to remember to never be ashamed of yourself for liking things that won't harm anyone. Don't let a fanbase's negative stereotype prevent you from enjoying it!
In fanbases and many groups, there are the good, and there are the bad. If you are one of the good, don't feel like you are the bad! The sad truth is that the negativity is usually very vocal over the positivity because of how negativity interrupts the good and saddens people.
Are you a fan of something that may be considered childish? Are you a fan of something that is hated for its fanbase? Do not feel ashamed! Your interests are unique to YOU and are special to you! And as long as you aren't doing something immoral, don't be afraid to be proud of what you take interest in and talk about it to those comfortable with it!
