He was corrupted to be a darkness ruler and then wanted to make the place for others hell.. So he possessed others and killed many people
(He longs to be an entertainer to make people smile but he also doesn't like to be around most people (with his apartment looking like an asylum) and he (mostly) hates his family because of his past... But oh well, he just wants to cheer people up)
Uhmm all the sprites I have of him rn in my elementals studio are ugly af ;-; Thankfully, Derek's design is really simple and will save you a lot of pain :> You can look at some of my art for a ref, especially on his hair. He literally just wears a red hoodie, jeans, and white sneakers. That's it. The hardest thing will probably be his hair.
Sooo uhhh as far as lore (Which isn't great yet, sorry) 😅
Derek can control Fire cuz he's a Fire Elemental, and his life in a nutshell is basically being abused by his older brother, and neglected and eventually abandoned by his parents. Upon developing his powers, he accidentally sets a bad fire in the middle of the woods, killing another character's dad unintentionally.
So simplified, he grows up in an abusive setting, gets neglected, and learns how to mask his emotions and stuff and also having these powers on top of that.
The unofficial official adopted chold of Katie and Joshua the Breadian. Yes, he is the first non-canon DJ Madness sprite that has braces (confirmed by KatieTheBreadArtist). He also loves Pain Au Chocolats for some odd reason.
