AY Y’ALL, IT’S SO FUCKING SURREAL PASSING BY “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” ON NETFLIX BECAUSE I’VE SEEN THEM, I HAVE TALKED TO THEM IN PERSON
Don’t get me wrong, it’s fantastic being a cheerleader! It’s fun and exhilarating and when your team comes together to make everything work, it looks bomb ass and you feel great!
But you have to remember everything behind the performance. The hours of practice that go into a routine, the injuries that fuck you up and jeopardize your standing and will continue to affect you later in life once you grow up, the stress of teammates and cheer moms and gossip being passed around.
And if you’re a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader? You’re sexualized to hell and back by creepy weirdos who might put an airtag in your car (this is one of the things mentioned in the series trailer)
Because gods above and below, I do not miss being a cheerleader with everything it entailed, and I wasn’t even close to being on the level of those girls yet.

DC Cheerleaders have my respect. And my sympathy.
Because gods above and below, I do not miss being a cheerleader with everything it entailed, and I wasn’t even close to being on the level of those girls yet.
