On the day of the festval (in Act 1), MC is woken up early by Yuri and Natsuki. Realizing something's wrong, he follows them to Sayori's house, where they find Sayori about to hang herself, inexplicably toning down her depression to what it had been before. Monika then decides she's done playing and takes them all to what MC calls "a static-y place" for a confrontation.
