Hot take: I like all comics with any amount of effort put into them as long as they're funny or engaging. That's what a comic is after all.

The ironic ones that are like, "haha what if this picture of the breakfast i ate this morning was the most voted comic on the website," are dumb and played out, I agree.

I made a comic a little while ago called "The More the Merrier" and I think some people missed the point of it. From a non-comic creator's perspective, the hot page is like a buffet of cakes. Some cakes are larger and others are smaller. All that really matters is if the cake is to their taste. Not everyone will like the same cake compared to the others and that is fine.

Never think of the Hot Page as some kind of competition, seriously. You'll forever be unhappy and miserable. Speaking from experience here because as much as I put a lot thought and care into Runaways for 50+ days straight, burning myself out beyond belief, even those comics won't appeal to Comic Studio's broader audience. A hard pill to swallow for my ego, but something I've come to accept over the past year.
