When i saw the first panel, i just had this crazy theory based on clones and stuff (that is obviously fake). Maybe all the gingerbread men on the try were all gingerbraves. Since we consider the current one we know as the official one.

The cookies on that tray that were eaten by the witch were Gingerbrave clones. Gingerclones. Maybe these clones were his actual parents, brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews, amd so on.

But we all know that dozer is Brave’s Brother. So maybe he escaped before him, possibly. This means that bpth of them are free

But we all know that dozer is also dead. Maybe in a later Adventure, the witches notice this. So they made a trap to lure the cookies in so they can eat them. Dozer was probably dumb, so he followed the trap, and SNATCH! He was eaten by the cruel witches.
